The Cosmetic Check
By simply scanning a barcode, users can quickly access information on over 250,000 cosmetic and personal care products. The ToxFox identifies potential threats, including hormonal disruptors, nanoparticles, and microplastics. Just scan the packaging to get started.

Assessing Everyday Products
With the Giftfrage feature, the ToxFox detects harmful substances in common items such as toys, household goods, hygiene products, furniture, carpets, footwear, textiles, and electronics. It is important to note that some hazardous chemicals can accumulate in the body and may lead to chronic health issues such as diabetes, cancer, or infertility. Users can scan product barcodes with their iPhone camera; if information on harmful ingredients is available, it is immediately displayed. If not, users have the option to contact the manufacturer directly through the app. Manufacturers are legally obligated to respond within 45 days. This process not only informs individual users but also contributes to a database accessible to all consumers, fostering collective awareness. The ToxFox continually learns from user inquiries, reinforcing the message that manufacturers must ensure their products are free from harmful substances while making those tainted goods less marketable.
